How We Design
We believe digital ministry space is an extension of physical ministry space, and should be designed with the same mission in mind – vibrant faith in Jesus Christ. Sites we build a not simply marketing and promotion tools, rather they can and should be a faith forming experience.
You know your community and its needs the best. You know its purpose, its voice, and its stories. Often it works best to partner with a small task force of people from different perspectives to land on a digital experience that makes the impact you are looking for.
How We Coach
We believe you’ve got to dig in yourself to begin to understand the potential your web presence has for the sake of faith forming experiences. So, we don’t do all the work for you, but coach you along in using the tools and managing content well.
We’ll tell you the truth about what it will take to make your site great including amount of work, current and future costs, and help make sure there is a plan for sustainability into the future. Often, a key content manager with a small group of contributors around them makes a great digital presence team.
What's included in a website design/redesign?
Your primary contact will be our Partner for Digital Strategies, Jared Rendell. Vibrant Faith also partners with experienced website creators, like Max Bucholz at Distilled Studio, to do parts of the design itself.
There are 3 basic phases: Planning, Design, and Launch. We’ll meet and communicate using email, conference call, and video conference during the contract period. We’ll set a timeline together at the beginning of the process.
This includes everything listed to the right, and is a one-time cost. Vibrant Faith does not take any continued monthly payments for design or content management, like many website organizations do. We believe the site is yours, and this model frees up the organization to make choices and changes as needed.

We’ll install and set up WordPress, the most popular and versatile content management system for websites today.
WordPress designs start from a base theme of functionality and design. We’ll work together to choose an initial base theme for your site, then our team will install, set up, and customize the theme for you.
Header & Navigation
We’ll set up your header and navigation bar, the most seen content on the site. We’ll work with you to design a navigation experience that makes sense for your faith community.
Each theme we choose will be mobile responsive, meaning the site will adjust itself for different devices and screen sizes automatically. We’ll make sure this responsiveness is working properly, and that mobile users will have a great experience on our site. It may very well be the first impression visitors get.
We will build up to 15 pages on your site which could including a homepage, contact page, blog, about page, and more. We’ll include a few different pages to act as templates for future content, so its easy for content managers to change content without starting from scratch on a dynamic page design.
We’ll install a base set of WordPress plugins that extend functionality and design for ministry focused sites, and provide things like security, backups, etc.
We’ll plan on 3 60-minute training sessions after the site design is ready to launch. This training will recorded for future use, and can include any number of potential content managers.
This experience includes 5 hours of open virtual coaching with the primary content manager. These conversations will include strategy for a faith formation focused site, team and contributor management, content management, and user experience awareness.
- Vibrant Faith does not host the website or register your domain for you. We’ll assist in hosting setup, but the cost and account ownership lie with the ministry/church.
- Vibrant Faith will not manage your content on an ongoing basic beyond the contract period. This is your faith community, your site, and your relevant content. (i.e. You won’t email content to us to add to the site for you)
