Vibrant Faith Ministries is excited to offer Social Media webinars designed specifically for congregations.  Visit our website webinar page for webinar dates and times.

Social Media 101

Have you ever asked, “What’s the difference between a Facebook page & a group? What does ‘blog’ mean? And what on earth is a tweet?!” In this webinar, we’ll answer these questions & more, dispel several myths of social media, and have lots of Q&A time – all the while showing you why knowing how to effectively use social media matters to your ministry. This is a basic level, introductory webinar.

Social Media 201

You know the basics – now learn how to create effective social media pages! In this webinar, we’ll look at common mistakes churches make with their social media pages. You will learn the ‘nuts and bolts’ of setting up a quality page on Facebook and Twitter, and how to create a blog to use when you are traveling on a mission trip. Be ready for LOTS of information! You may want access to two computers – one to follow the webinar, and one to experiment along with the suggestions given during the webinar. Social Media 101 is a pre-requisite for this webinar.

Social Media 301

The third and most advanced in our Social Media webinar series, the focus is on how to effectively engage your members with the social media pages you have set up for your congregations. One huge mistake congregations make is not engaging with users on their social media pages. In this webinar, you will learn how to follow and comment on other blogs, effectively use hashtags on Twitter, how to use social media live during events, and more. You’ll also learn how to use Tweetdeck to keep yourself organized. This webinar is packed with useful information! Social Media 101 and 201 are both pre-requisites for this webinar.

Social Media Congregational Training and Consulting

Training, implementation and consulting to:

  1. Establish Facebook and Twitter accounts that are set-up independently of specific employees. (If this is not done, once an employee leaves the accounts may need to be shut down!)
  2. Learn tools that streamline the time you invest in social media. (Employees already have too much on their plates. After this training, you will know how to divide and conquer between staff and volunteers!)
  3. Learn why and how to engage with your members on Facebook and Twitter. (It doesn't help to have these accounts and not use them. It's called 'Social Media' for just that reason… it's meant to be social and fun!)
  4. Learn how to promote awareness of social media efforts and build a following.

Training Schedule:

VFM provides half-day or full-day onsite training as well as online training via webinars. Both options allow for hands-on training for your staff and volunteers.

  • Week One: 60-minute webinar.   Topic: Facebook
  • Week Two: 30-minute webinar.   Topic: Twitter
  • Week Three: 30-minute webinar.   Topic: Tweetdeck
  • Week Four: 30-minute webinar.   Topic: How to build your following

Vibrant Faith Ministries' Commitment:

  • We provide customized research on each congregation's current social media efforts before training begins.
  • We provide customized training for each congregation during the training.
  • We provide virtual ‘side-by-side' social media learning.
  • We provide email support during and after training.

Congregation's Commitment:

  • The congregation will identify several staff members and volunteers to attend training/webinars.
  • One staff member or volunteer will serve as a liaison to Vibrant Faith Ministries.
  • Two computers must be available - One for the training/webinar and one to implement what is taught.

We look forward to providing you and your staff this "virtual side-by-side learning!"
